Boeing and Singapore airlines wanted to celebrate the first delivery of the 787-10 Dreamliner in a unique way.
Details
R&R partners created a first of it's kind effect to be used as a digital and social activation. The delivery ceremony was broadcast lie and was digitally accompanied by this Facebook AR effect. As the airplane was being flown, the effect used real-time streaming data to display telemetry data along with visual progress indicators. Intricate animations were used for both static objects as well as dynamically positioned character sets.
Boeing commercial airplanes were happy with the results as the experience became the most engaged organic post Boeing ever published.
