Syn worked with Sony again in 2019 to create sonic identities for three new channel packages, Sony Movies, Sony Channel, and AXN. Syn created a sonic identity for each logo that reflected the channel’s contents, audience, and essence. For Sony Movies, Syn created a sonic identity that is theatrical and modern, enhancing the crescendo of the visuals. As Sony Channel is the global entertainment network providing content around the world, Syn created a sonic identity that has a universal appeal, whilst also sounding cool, driving, and sophisticated. Sony AXN is the channel dedicated to action, thriller, and mystery content. The sonic identity we produced had to incorporate intrigue and darkness whilst appealing to a wide audience. We created a theme featuring haunting female vocals that was both compelling and immersive.
