Project Overview

CREATING A HEALTH MOVEMENT OUT OF LIVE MUSIC Behavioral illnesses are unique among all diseases. They can be treated — even cured — by communications. And with depression and suicide cases on the rise, The Shipyard sees its talents and experience as professional communicators to have a real purpose in the fight for better behavioral health. There’s no more tangible example than WonderBus.

Details

Working with festival partners at the Elevation Group, The Shipyard crafted the WonderBus brand from scratch, including visual branding, merchandising, poster art and experiential graphics. Spurred by its strong graphic identity and passionate supporters, the brand took on a life of its own in social media and PR leading up to and throughout the two-day event.

The attendance expectation for the two-day festival was 7,500 attendees, which would put it on par with similarly sized community festivals. By the end of the encores on Sunday, WonderBus had welcomed more than 11,000 and raised $50,000 for the Wexner Medical Center’s behavioral health unit.
